Cetaphil or Purpose - How about both!

For over 25 years I have used Cetaphil or Purpose as my daily cleansers. People have tried to pry me away with big name promises but I keep coming  back to these two and I love them both. I use Purpose in the summer to get rid of excess oil and Cetaphil is a godsend in the winter months. Both are gentle to skin and do not cause any issues especially for sensitive skin. They can be used by all skin types.

A wonderful duo any time of year.

Albolene is an excellent moisturizer/cleaner for people living in very dry or very cold climes. You can rub it on and tissue it off and then splash with water, leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. Great cleanser for dry climates.

Of course Ponds Cold Cream is a fantastic standby.

Sorry I do not espouse the use of the fancy cleansers but these just work, why buy anything else!

I know that only fellow fashionistas would love this movie/doc I loved it!
First Anna Wintour turns out to what appears to me the average woman with problems like all of us, she is very human. She also has many insecurities and I love that she allowed that to show on camera. She is very devoted to her children and is a serious woman about what she does.
Is she any different from any of us except that she has nice digs and makes so much money? In the end no and I really loved

Mascara Wars

I consider myself a beauty editor in my head because I have tried so many products.
I can give honest opinions, not sure if the editors at real magazines have reasons for their endorsements!
I am always looking for the right place for my collection. I have settled on two places, one drawer full in the bathroom and the a Container store clear box for the ones I have yet to try. in the closet I also have back ups for the ones I really like.
My first ones were Cover Girl but working in a retail store environment really changes your exposure to cosmetics, big time!

See my reviews below..........of course after curling(Shu Umura or Kevin Aucoin, invest in a really good one)

Best of all time-.....
 LOreal Voluminous in Carbon Black. Better than any Department store brand.  Gives wonderful inky, no clump lashes. Really enhances any face and it is available at any drugstore for less than $10.00. The brush is the most manageable.
Best of all time not available in the US.....
( Max Factor Masterpiece)- gives clear defined no clump lashes.

For all those who love Dior Show, sorry I like it but it is not the best Mascara out there, the brush is too large and it does clump on occasion.

A primer is now a must, my favorite is Lancome Oscillation Primer, it is a great base. There are many others out there but this one really makes a difference.
