Happy New Year from Savannah, GA ! My Savannah Shopping and Food Favorites !

Feliz Ano Nuevo to you and your families!!

My family and I are going to ring in the New Year with close friends in beautiful Savannah Georgia this evening. Of course retail therapy is a part of any visit to a new place ( actually my second time) so here are some of my favorites.

Savannah Bee Company - A must stop for any visitor to the area. Head to the tasting bar and sample different flavors of honey available in multiple size options for your trip home. My favorites are the Wildflower and Sourwood. We left with the Savannah Bee company soap in Mint Julep - smells heavenly!  Mint Julep, the Beeswax Lip Balm in Mint Julep or Shimmer Beeswax Liptint. We also bought Wildflower honey and you must have a Wildflower Honeycomb.....Raw Honeycomb from Rocky Mountain Idaho The raw honeycomb offers wonderful options for entertaining or just for the family. Have guests cut their own samples of the honeycomb along with apple slices and smoked gouda cheese. Store in the pantry at home and bring it out for a special treat.  Simply delicious!

Puerto Rico - My Favorites

La Concha Hotel and Resort, Candado PR

Puerto Rico is one of my favorite places to visit for work or play. They can boast about some of the best beaches and food in the Caribbean.   This past Thanksgiving was my fourth time on the island.  I know you will have your favorites, these are my picks.

La Concha Resort, San Juan  - Best hotel for family with four pools and endless beaches.
El Convento, Old San Juan - Old World charm ( former convent). Private and exclusive.
Sheraton - Old San Juan

Beaches outside of San Juan - Luquillo Beach, Cerro Gordo and Ponce

Must See for Kids  - El Yunque Rainforest

Novus ShoesNovus Shoes - Some of most stunning summer sandals anywhere in the world.
Plaza las Americas - The Largest mall on the island with 300 plus stores and restaurants.
La Favorita shoes - Plaza Las Americas
Chiquitin shoes for kids Chiquitin
Passion for cakes Passion Cakes- Since 2000- Try the Red Velvet and all the chocolates....
CH by Carolina Herrera - First time on the island.

Best Place for Running- Candado Strip - up to 10 miles along the famous strip.

Beautiful People - Lobby of the La Concha Resort, Candado PR

Salsa - Candela,  Old San Juan and El San Juan Resort and Casino unforgetable experience.

Luxury - Gucci, Ferragamo, Vuitton - Candado, PR

Wish List  - Visit Vieques

Fashion Takeaway - Local fashionistas set off fashion sparks with their stunning daytime combinations of the LD and the JS,  jeweled sandals and dress combinations. The sandals always had jeweled accents and dresses were knee length or above, both solids and prints. Regardless of cut, flared, a line, fitted, or high waisted these women always looked tres chic. I came back with my go to list of summer must haves for 2013.

here are few suggestions similar to and based on the sandal and dress styles I saw in Puerto Rico ( some may be shown with boots, just imagine jeweled sandals). Just in time for Resort! Have fun!
