NY Mag The Cut posted a "top 30" of the best dressed for Fashion Month. Some of the old guard are on the list, Natalie Joos, Taylor TH, Giovanna, Shala, The Russian Pack... Anna of course but there are some newbies. These women and one man Fashion Month put on a show of their own for us during the Fashion month.  However, there are two individuals who shall remain nameless who are loved by the fashion photographers but not by me. They on my list of one of the worst dressed women in the business ( not Anna, I love Anna). They are two of the worst dressed fashion offenders during Fashion Month, but they shall remain nameless.  Enjoy the link and my pictures below!

Color On the Runways- Spring 2014
The campaign to get more models of color onto the fashion runways began with Bethann Hardison, Iman and Naomi Campbell during Fashion Week last month and the NY casting agents had to get with the program. Black women are expected to spend more than 1.1 TRILLION dollars by 2015 (Black Spending Power)  For the first time in decade every show I previewed on http://www.style.com/ walked at least one or two black or asian models on the runway ( no other minorites but that will change).  Women have to hit the industry where it hurts, with dollars.  If we stop spending they will be more inclusive.

Here are a few highlights from NY Magazine from MARCH of this year (  little or none). Europe was still lagging behind but we are getting there. Things have got to change!! Thank you Bethann, Naomi and Iman!!

 I served three.
Campari Sangria - Muddle Oranges in Campari, add Champagne or Prosecco and a splash of seven up
Brandy Milk Punch - half and half, brandy, vanilla extract, cinnamon, simple syrup.
St Germain and Champagne. - 1/4 St Germain and rest Champagne.

I wanted to share a few of my favorites this year. Some are old standbys and some are new. 

This  Supergoop is one of my favorites for summer, not discernable scent, a light mist , SPF 50 and full and lasting coverage. Sorry, let's be practical all of the talk of great smelling products of " beach" and "sea"   does not work in a city environment. Without Parabens and Sulphates. 

Any chocolate from this amazing line is "delish" but the summer flavor has to be the White Chocolate with the tropical pear pieces. Yummy and at Walgreens!!

Citronella Geranium plants for the deck , patio and outside entertaining. Awesome! At your local place or where else? Amazon of course!






Hotel Collection Hotel Towels are the best in the world - soft, durable,  no pilling, no pulling and they last forever through many washings.   Ralph Lauren Towels are expensive and they pill, and look terrible after a few washings, not worth the price.
Go Hotel and you will never look back!




Universal Anti - Aging Moisturizer is one of the best kept secrets but I must share. This cream blends well, gives you a soft glow and best of all has a nice SPF of 30. Love, this product all year but especially in the summertime.

Victoria Beckham - Old Master Painting A Line skirt
I saw this picture of Victoria Beckham wearing this beautiful skirt this weekend ( see link above) and I  found myself thinking about the Joe Fresh skirt I saw at JC Penney at few weeks ago. I  tried it on,  it fit perfectly, the quality is top class but I was out of time to purchase it.  Well, it landed in my online shopping bag today and is on the way to it's final home in my closet. With a white shirt, this would be beautiful too.

Joe Fresh for JCP is one of my favorite lines at JCP, I hope they keep it going despite all of the recent turmoil rocking the company. This was a great move from the last team!!

• Powder - Flawless - Mac
• Eye concealer - Must use this every day!! - Josie Maran Concealer / Laura Mercier  Secret Camoflauge is also  excellent. 
•  Blush - Armani Skin Blush  ( they can do no wrong in my book ) and Gives a nice shimmer to cheekbones - Beautiful from Chanel
• Eye ( I do not use a liner) - I love the natural look but anything from L'oreal L'Oreal Hip Eye  is great and Chanel Chanel Eye  is also amazing. 
• Mascara - after all these years there are four I carry along with primer, the rest I leave at home. One of them from Prescriptives is discontinued ( I bought supplies before they were gone, the brush is excellent) Voluminous / Chanel /  Benefit  / Mac Primer. 
• Lips- I only wear gloss or balm - Nivea/ Clinique / Clinique / Hourglass/ Stila

And I manage to fit all of this into a white makeup bag from Le Sport Sac or Sonia K from Target. 

Please let us know what " you carry" I know I carry way too much but I would not have it any other way!
