Our first recipe!

It is rainy and finally fall like here in Atlanta and I feel the need to stay home this weekend and have something warm and filling.

I wanted to share this recipe for the weekend or even for Thanksgiving meals. It is Italian, I love rustic Italian food.

So simple to make.

Recipe is from I Sodi in NYC.

Olive Oil and basil leaves for garnish.

Heat Olive Oil in  saucepan over medium heat.
Add garlic, basil and sage and cook for 2 minutes until garlic begins to brown.
Sitr in tomatoes and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes stirring frequently.
Add bread and water. Return to a boil and reduce heat.
Stir, breaking up bread with the back of a wooden spoon.
Let the soup simmer for 5 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
